Dolce&Gabbana x Mytheresa: Porto Cervo becomes the wardrobe of the italian summer

by Francesco Russo

The tenth collaboration between the Italian maison and the luxury digital platform celebrates Costa Smeralda with an exclusive collection spanning womenswear, menswear, kidswear and homewear. At Cala di Volpe, two days of hospitality, style and Sardinian culture.

Porto Cervo returns to its role as one of the most luminous capitals of the international summer. Not only for the magnetic allure of Costa Smeralda, its crystalline waters and that unmistakable grammar of Mediterranean elegance that has attracted jet set, fashion and high hospitality since the 1960s. This time, the call comes from a collaboration uniting two leading names in contemporary luxury: Dolce&Gabbana and Mytheresa.

The Italian fashion house and the luxury digital platform celebrate their tenth collaboration with Dolce&Gabbana x Mytheresa: The Exclusive Porto Cervo Collection, launched globally on May 6, 2026 on Mytheresa.com and conceived as a tribute to nature in bloom, Sardinia’s sunlit landscapes and the most recognisable style of the Italian summer.

The collection includes over 150 styles across womenswear, menswear, kidswear and homewear, creating a complete universe of dresses, kaftans, coordinated sets, swimwear, shirts, shorts, accessories, home pieces and lifestyle objects. It is a broad and coherent project, designed to turn the holiday wardrobe into a statement of aesthetic belonging.

Costa Smeralda as inspiration

The story begins in Porto Cervo, one of the symbolic destinations of Italy’s most sophisticated hospitality. Here, light is part of the language. Landscape dictates proportion, colour and rhythm. Dolce&Gabbana and Mytheresa translate this imaginary into a collection shaped by hibiscus florals, palm motifs, coastal imagery, airy cottons, crisp poplins, fluid silks and fine linens.

In womenswear, the narrative unfolds through flowing dresses, kaftans and coordinated sets, built around movement, lightness and balanced proportions. Swimwear and layering pieces complete a wardrobe designed for the Mediterranean day: from the sea to the aperitivo, from the terrace to dinner under the stars.

Menswear introduces a contemporary resort sensibility with silk twill sets, breathable shirts, shorts, linen essentials and subtle embroidery. Botanical accents and panoramic prints add visual depth, while knit textures and structured pieces bring a refined attitude suited to warm-weather escapes.

Kidswear and casa: summer as a complete universe

One of the most interesting elements of the collection is its family and domestic extension. Kidswear reflects the same graphic energy as the main line, with playful dresses, coordinated sets and swimwear featuring vibrant florals and lively prints. The result is a miniature wardrobe that preserves the elegance of the whole, with a joyful tone perfectly aligned with the holiday atmosphere.

The Casa selection brings the spirit of the collection into summer living. Exquisitely crafted porcelain, luminous glassware, richly detailed textiles, plush cushions, bathrobes and statement beach towels build a complete aesthetic, where fashion enters into dialogue with the table, the beach and interior lifestyle.

This is where the project becomes more than a capsule collection. Dolce&Gabbana and Mytheresa propose an entire grammar of luxury holiday living: not a single look, but a coordinated world made of clothes, accessories, objects, rituals and settings.

Two days in Porto Cervo

To celebrate the launch of the collection, Dolce&Gabbana and Mytheresa chose the glamorous heart of Costa Smeralda with a two-day experience in Porto Cervo on May 21 and 22, 2026. The experience began with an aperitivo at the legendary Atrium Bar of Hotel Cala di Volpe, the iconic resort brought to life in the 1960s by visionary architect Jacques Couëlle, overlooking the turquoise waters of the bay.

As dusk settled, guests attended an elegant dinner at the Cala di Volpe Barbecue, hosted by Francis Belin, CEO of Mytheresa, and Alfonso Dolce, CEO of Dolce&Gabbana. The evening continued with a live DJ set, transforming the resort into a perfect scene of Mediterranean sociability: sophisticated, sunlit, international.

The second day moved to the Piazzetta of Porto Cervo, where guests were immersed in a curated Italian market experience, with references to Sardinian culture, conviviality and traditional folkloric performances. It was a way of grounding the collection in the territory, giving Sardinia the role of true aesthetic and cultural matrix.

Guests and the new digital jet set

Among the guests were Nora Attal, Rebecca Donaldson, Mathieu Simoneau and Kim Turnbull. Their presence captures the contemporary dimension of the project: fashion, social influence, international lifestyle and new celebrity culture meet in a setting that brings together luxury clients, digital platforms and iconic destinations.

Mytheresa contributes its ability to speak to a global and highly selected audience, accustomed to exclusive capsules, curated drops and editorial projects capable of transforming purchase into experience. Dolce&Gabbana brings an immediately recognisable Italian imaginary: Mediterranean sensuality, craftsmanship, theatrical colour, family culture, the centrality of home and conviviality.

The result is a very precise formula: luxury does not stop at the garment. It extends to the place, the table, the beach, the domestic object and the time shared with others.

La Dolce Vita according to contemporary luxury

The strength of Dolce&Gabbana x Mytheresa: The Exclusive Porto Cervo Collection lies in its ability to update a historic imaginary without freezing it. Porto Cervo preserves the charm of its original mythology, yet it is reinterpreted through the language of 2026: global capsule, digital platform, international community, editorial storytelling, physical experience and visual content.

La Dolce Vita no longer belongs only to black-and-white cinema or archival photographs of the jet set. It lives in resorts, beach clubs, piazzettas, capsule collections, private dinners, curated markets, the details of a summer table and a floral print designed to travel from the sea to the city.
